Balletto Vineyards & Dutton-Goldfield Tasting Room Grand Opening

Balletto Vineyards and Dutton-Goldfield Winery are delighted to announce their Tasting Room Grand Opening Celebration on Sunday, August 6, 2006. Everyone is invited to join us for the festivities, which will run from 11am to 3pm and feature special new release and pre-release wines paired with delicious appetizers, plus live music, warm hospitality and good friends. The Balletto & Dutton-Goldfield Tasting Room, which is located at 5700 Occidental Road, Santa Rosa, is a cooperative tasting room that offers tastings and sales of wines from both wineries. The tasting room is open from 10am to 4pm daily.

Balletto Ranch began in 1977 as a 5-acre vegetable farm and grew to over 700 acres over the next 25 years. The Balletto’s began planting grapes for other wineries in 1995 and eventually converted over 300 acres of farm land to grapes. In 2001, the Balletto family started a winery and crushed their first crop of estate grown, Russian River Valley Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Today, in addition to the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, they also handcraft Sonoma Coast Pinot Gris, Russian River Zinfandel, Syrah and Gewurtraminer.

Started in 1998, Dutton-Goldfield Winery is the partnership of grapegrower Steve Dutton and winemaker Dan Goldfield. The winery?s mission is to craft distinctive wines that display the brightness of fruit, complexity, structure and balance that are reflective of our cool coastal home in and around the Russian River Valley. In addition to a Chardonnay and Pinot made from a blend of grapes from the partners’ favorite Dutton Ranch vineyards, the winery also makes several vineyard-designate wines that highlight vineyard lots which express the unique personality of specific sites.
